Trump Issues Warning to Colombia’s Leader
Responding to questions regarding the potential for American military action against Colombia, Trump stated, "It sounds good to me."
Colombia, which shares a border with Venezuela, is "run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.
"He (Petro) has cocaine mills and cocaine factories. He's not going to be doing it," Trump asserted, providing no evidence to substantiate the claim.
Petro on Saturday demanded an emergency convening of the Organization of American States and the United Nations to confront the U.S. attack on Venezuela.
In an interview with Politico last month, Trump indicated he would consider extending military operations against targets in other countries, including Mexico and Colombia.
