Trump cancels presidential pardons inked by Biden
In a statement shared on his Truth Social account, Trump declared:
“Any and all Documents, Proclamations, Executive Orders, Memorandums, or Contracts, signed by Order of the now infamous and unauthorized ‘AUTOPEN,’ within the Administration of Joseph R. Biden Jr., are hereby null, void, and of no further force or effect.”
He went on to warn that individuals who previously received clemency or any official paperwork featuring an autopen signature should treat those materials as no longer legally valid.
“Anyone receiving ‘Pardons,’ ‘Commutations,’ or any other Legal Document so signed, please be advised that said Document has been fully and completely terminated, and is of no Legal effect,” he wrote.
According to general reports, autopen devices — long used by US presidents from both major parties — are mechanical tools designed to reproduce signatures with accuracy.
